LAST CAB TO DARWIN Q&A Event with Michael Caton and Jeremy Simon
Meet Michael Caton and director Jeremy Sims at a preview screening followed by a Q&A of their new film LAST CAB TO DARWIN.

Starring Michael Caton and Jackie Weaver, and from Last Train to Freo director Jeremy Sims, LAST CAB TO DARWIN is an unusual road movie that takes in the beauty and majesty of the Australian outback.

Cab driver Rex (Caton) is a loner and has never left his hometown of Broken Hill. When told he doesn't have long to live, he embarks on an epic drive through the Australian outback to Darwin in a bid to die on his own terms. Along the way on his journey of self-discovery, he realises that before you can end your life, you have to live it, and to live it, you've got to share it. Based on a true story, and with supporting performances from Emma Hamilton and Ningali Lawford-Wolf, LAST CAB TO DARWIN is a moving and good-humoured drive.

  NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE: EVERYMAN
BAFTA winner and Academy Award® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) takes the title role in this dynamic new production of one of English drama’s oldest plays, directed by the National Theatre’s new Director Rufus Norris (Broken, London Road).

Everyman is successful, popular and riding high when Death comes calling. He is forced to abandon the life he has built and embark on a last, frantic search to recruit a friend, anyone, to speak in his defence. But Death is close behind, and time is running out.

One of the great primal, spiritual myths, Everyman asks whether it is only in death that we can understand our lives. A cornerstone of English drama since the 15th century, it now explodes onto the stage in a startling production with words by Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate, and movement by Javier De Frutos.
