Always the boundary-pushing provocateur, filmmaker Catherine Breillat (Romance, Sex is Comedy) returns with her bold approach to cinema, with a new taboo-breaking film: the relationship between a woman and her teenage stepson.
This fearless erotic drama stars Léa Drucker (Close, Custody) as Anne, a well-respected child protection lawyer and a happily married woman living with her husband and daughters in Paris. Anne’s world is turned upside down when her husband’s 17-year-old son from a previous marriage moves in with them. Breillat portrays the attraction and desire between stepmother and stepson, and the legal and moral barriers it threatens, with the fearless combination of social critique, dark humour and uncomfortable detail that has established her as one of the world’s most confronting – and essential – contemporary filmmakers
