Synopsis

In this Shakespearian battle-of-the-sexes, writer/director Vicente Villanueva (TOC TOC) adapts the witty and highly regarded Spanish play by Alfredo Sanzol into a romantic comedy starring Emma Suárez (JULIETA) and Gonzalo de Castro.

Queen Esmeralda and her two daughters travel towards England on the Invincible Spanish Armada, faced with arranged marriages to English noblemen, as dictated by Philip II.

The Queen hates men because they have always ruled her life, but she is determined that her daughters will not follow the same fate. As they travel across the seas, she finds a seemingly deserted island and whips up a storm that sinks their ship. The problem is that this island is where a lumberjack and his two sons have been living for twenty years hoping to never see a woman again.

As soon as the Queen and princesses discover that they are not alone, fearing for their lives, they dress up as men to protect themselves, and all kinds of adventures, mix-ups and love affairs begin.
