Synopsis
Celebrate the life of the truly one-of-a-kind Hollywood legend, Diane Keaton, at a special Tribute Screening of the 1977 classic dramedy, Annie Hall, featuring her iconic Academy Award winning performance. Many filmgoers were introduced to Keaton's miraculous comic timing, distinct gender-nonconforming style - nobody could rock men’s slacks, vests and statement hats like her - and of course, her wonderfully awkward 'la-dee-da' line, from her career-defining performance in the titular role in Woody Allen's, Annie Hall. Her incredible career also included the beloved and greatly culturally impactful films 'First Wives Club', 'Something's Gotta Give', 'Father of the Bride' and 'The Godfather'. Cementing herself as a generational talent and a style icon, Keaton reframed the way women were seen on the big screen with whip-smart wit, inimitable charm and an unflinching sense of self. Film Synopsis: Comedian Alvy Singer (Allen) examines the rise and fall of his relationship with struggling nightclub singer Annie Hall (Keaton). Speaking directly to the audience in front of a bare background, Singer reflects briefly on his childhood and his early adult years before settling in to tell the story of how he and Annie met, fell in love, and struggled with the obstacles of modern romance, mixing surreal fantasy sequences with small moments of emotional drama.
