One of Australia’s most infamous cult classics is coming back to the big screen, it’s been 25 years since CHOPPER first shocked a nation and changed the face of Australian cinema. To mark the milestone, the frightening and savagely funny hit film has been digitally remastered and reloaded once again for the big screen, set to show exclusively in select cinemas for a limited time on August 21. Originally released in 2000, CHOPPER left a lasting and profound mark on Australian culture, resonating across audiences and media alike - with iconic lines like “There’s no cash here. Here, there’s no cash” becoming part of the everyday Aussie vernacular. The film now features thirteen minutes of bonus behind-the-scenes footage, which includes conversations with Eric Bana, Director Andrew Dominik and Mark “Chopper” Read. CHOPPER was the feature directorial debut of Andrew Dominik and stars Eric Bana in his breakout role as the infamous Melbourne underworld figure. Described as terrifying and truly unforgettable, Bana leads an iconic cast including Vince Colosimo, Simon Lyndon, Kate Beahan, and David Field.
