Synopsis
Chaoshan grandmother Ye Shurou has always lived a quiet, ordinary life, content in her old age. Little does she know that her grandson Xiaowei, burdened by debt and hiding it from his family, has secretly traveled to Thailand in search of his grandfather Zheng Musheng — rumored to have become a billionaire there. However, the news Xiaowei brings shatters the family's peace. The husband she thought had found another lover in Thailand, Zheng Musheng, had in fact passed away many years ago. Even more shocking is that an unknown woman, through remittance letters known as Qiaopi, had quietly shouldered the responsibility of supporting the family in Musheng's name for decades. As a yellowed, faded Qiaopi unfolds, the truth buried for decades gradually comes to light. Across the long river of time, the bonds among these three figures — transcending borders, fate, and the cruelty of their era — have transformed into the most moving "love letter" that Ye Shurou has ever received.
