Teresa (rising star Galatéa Bellugi, THE TASTE OF THINGS) is a gifted young songsmith who endures Cinderella-like status at the Sant’Ignazio Institute - a religious institution for girls. There, residents are musically trained by stern chapel master Perlina (Paolo Rossi). One day, a local craftsman gifts the Institute with a modern and immediately distrusted instrument: a piano.
