Synopsis
This is ridiculous. This madame, is Versailles. Two decades on from its stylish debut, Academy Award winner Sofia Coppola’s MARIE ANTOINETTE, sashays back into cinemas for a special anniversary screening. A young Marie Antoinette (Academy Award nominee Kirsten Dunst), the daughter and youngest child of Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, is sent to marry the Dauphin of France (Jason Schwartzman). She later becomes the countries queen following the death of King Louis XV (Academy Award nominee Judy Davis) in 1774, leading a life of luxury and pleasure that quickly becomes overtaken by revolution. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast, including Academy Award nominee Rose Byrne, Golden Globe Nominee Jamie Dornan and Tom Hardy.
